“What I was trying to do was to create a sense of ritual,” White, who began planning the project in 2017, explains. "I wanted it to be rhythm based, mainly drums and percussion, but then I started playing bits of piano, mucking around with string sounds and taking tiny samples. I’ve always loved music that makes you cry and feel uplifted at the same time.”
